Wayne Piersanti, Broker Associate. South Philadelphia native Wayne Piersanti took over the management and responsibilities of his family’s small residential rental business at the age of 21 while still in college.  In 1973, he graduated Temple University with an M.A. in Philosophy and joined the Philadelphia Police Department in June of that year. During that time, he expanded his rental business, and acquired apartment complexes in South Philadelphia, Chestnut Hill, and the Philadelphia Art Museum areas.

In 1981, after years of spending summers down the Jersey Shore, Wayne purchased a “starter” motel on Stockton Place in Cape May, and in 1982 Kris Kon Corporation bought and opened “The Shire” Tavern on the Cape May Mall.  Wayne is an owner and managing partner of that company. In short order “The Shire” was named as one of the “Top Ten” entertainment venues in New Jersey, and featured live Jazz, Reggae, Blues, Salsa and original Rock on a nightly basis for over 15 years until he sold his liquor license in 1997 and converted the building into two rental retail establishments. Kris Kon Corporation currently holds commercial and residential rental properties in Cape May, Atlantic, and Cumberland Counties.

Boredom soon followed and in 1997 Wayne got his Real Estate license and began his professional Real Estate career at C-21 Kopp and Company in Cape May. In 2001-2002 Wayne got his Broker’s license and his Real Estate Instructor’s license and became the managing Broker at several local Real Estate offices while also teaching Real Estate at Seashore Real Estate School.  In September of 2006 he became the Director of Real Estate Courses at Atlantic Cape Community College while also serving as an adjunct Professor in the Business Department. He held those positions until 2011. He was also a regular contributor to Cape May Magazine with a real estate column called “Keeping It Real” from 2006 to 2013.
