About 529 Elmira Street - Cape Island Cottage

Welcome to 529 Elmira Street in the downtown area of Cape May! Named the Cape Island Cottage, this historic single-family home has been recently renovated and includes six bedrooms and three full bathrooms. This beautifully decorated home can sleep up to fourteen people. As you walk in the home the first floor includes two spacious living areas, each with TVs, great for movie and game nights. There is also a dining area with a wooden table and bench. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of cabinet space and a breakfast bar with additional seating. There is a first-floor master bedroom with a king-sized bed and a full bathroom with shower. The first floor also includes a full bathroom with shower and bathtub combination as well as a laundry room. Take your pick on the second-floor of five guest bedrooms. There is one king bedroom, one queen bedroom, one queen plus a full-sized futon bedroom, one full-sized bed bedroom and one twin over a twin bunk bed bedroom with junior twin chaise lounge. Upstairs has a full bathroom with a double vanity and a shower and bathtub combination for the guest rooms to share. Outside spaces include a front porch as well as a back deck with propane grill and two picnic tables leading to a spacious backyard. There are three off street parking spots on site. Additional amenities include a pack n play, high chair, stroller and beach box with 4-5 beach chairs, sand toys and umbrella at the Ocean Street beach during the summer season. This home does not provide beach tags. Please bring your own sheets a towels for your stay. 529 Elmira Street is a wonderful combination of historic charm and updated amenities, located two blocks from the Washington Street Mall and an eight minute walk to the Ocean Street beach. There are restaurants, shops, parks and entertainment all within walking distance of this clean and comfortable home. Book your stay today!

Five grandkids 6 and under

"This house was amazing! This vacation was a Christmas to our children and our five grandkids ages 6, three 2-year olds and 9 months). The house was spacious enough that we could separate from the chaos, yet also enjoy the kids in the beautiful backyard and fabulous back deck. Those 2 picnic tables in the deck were perfect for all of us! The property is a little further from the beach than I would like, but it’s a trade-off for the fabulous property that the kids were able to run around on. There’s lots of “stuff” that goes to the beach with kids that age, but next year we have a plan and the beach box is sooo great to have! The home itself was beautifully decorated and so comfortable and the well-stocked kitchen was amazing! We are looking forward to renting this home again next year. "

"We really enjoyed our stay here with our grandkids. The home was very nicely done. The kids really enjoyed the backyard. The beach box was a huge plus & the off street parking. The owners were very easy to work with along with the real estate agent. Looking forward to returning in the future. "

WOW! Great House!

"My family and I stayed 4 nights (M-F) and wish we could've stayed longer! The house is very neat, clean, bright, and comfortable. The kitchen was VERY well stocked. We love to cook and grill, this house has it all from good, sharp knives to a very well stocked spice cabinet (rare for rentals in my experience)! The grill was clean and worked well. I love the patio with the picnic tables and umbrellas, just perfect. The location is ideal, close to everything, even the local Acme is right down the street! I love this house, the owners really take care of it and go the extra mile. The owner even arranged for there to be two baby gates at the house for us and our 3 little ones. "

Perfect location perfect house perfect company!

"Working with both the owner and this company has been such a pleasant, easy experience. They are organized, answer any and all questions, and check in and check out were easy and efficient. This particular house was clean, large (super high ceilings much appreciated by my tall family), a large spacious yard, many bedrooms, a great porch for sitting out on, and central location walkable to town and the beach. This house is perfect!

"The house was clean and airy, well-equipped and in walking distance to town and the beach. The added amenities including the beach box, driveway and family games allowed us to enjoy our vacation without having to worry about the usual minutia of parking, schlepping everything to the beach and keeping everyone entertained. The leasing agent & owners were very responsive before and during our stay. "
