Inspired by the idiosyncratic Long Island beach houses of Andrew Geller and the rustic yet refined style of Northern California's Sea Ranch, this modest 1950's ranch home was tastefully renovated and reimagined by a notable residential builder as a personal seaside retreat. It's a place where family and friends can gather to feast, laugh, play, soak and stargaze in the hand-made Cedar Hot tub after a long day in the sun and salt air. This refined high-end home has all of the luxurious you need, while still staying true to the soul of a beach house. The double height Living and Dining Room are surrounded by floor to ceiling glass that leads out to an expansive Ipe Deck, bringing light and the outdoors in. The native and vibrant natural Lanscaping was designed by Apiary Studio. The expansive rear deck hosts a grill and large outdoor dining table for six, complete with ping pong table, a grill and a stair down to a hand-made cedar hot tub. The kitchen and living room are clad in warm vertical grain doug fir and there are wide plank white oak floors throughout. The kitchen has a Viking range and is fully stocked with all of the culinary needs to whip up a chef's meal for the gang. There is a dining room table inside and one outside that both seat 6. The cozy hunter green Mario Bellini sofa in the Family Room is the best place in the house to watch a show or just lounge. The first floor bedrooms are spacious and private and share a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second floor primary suite has a stunning walk-in shower and 6.claw-foot soaking tub. The primary suite is private and tucked away upstairs. The radiant heated tile floors in both bathrooms are a welcome add. Owner to provide blankets and pillows. Tenant to bring or rent linens for (3) queen beds. This high efficiency home is extremely well insulated and runs on solar power, but also has the benefit of an endless supply of on-demand hot water so everyone gets a hot shower or bath after the beach. There is an electric car charger that is available to tenants who need a charge for their Tesla or other electric vehicles. The dedicated 60A circuit makes for a speedy 4 hour full charge. Driveway has room for 3 cars or 2 suv's. A convenient 5 minute bike ride to Beach Plum Farm, Duckies Farm Market and 15 minutes to Cape May Point and Higbee beach, and 5 minutes to the Vineyards and center of town and downtown dining. This cozy house is tucked away amongst a host of native plants, but never too far away from where you want to be.
